Rinka Banerjee
Ms. Rinka Banerjee is the founder of India’s premier foodtech consulting firm ‘Thinking Forks’. Thinking Forks is a full stack F&B consultancy with a clientele from Fortune 500 companies to cutting-edge startups, across Asia, North America, Middle East & Africa and Europe.
In the last decade, Rinka and her 40 member team have worked with over 150 clients enabling launch of 200+ product innovations, delivering over $ 500 Mln in client revenue and $ 15 Mln in cost savings. Thinking Forks is playing a pivotal role to create innovations that deliver healthier food & nutrition product choices for consumers and creating sustainable food systems through technologies for waste valorization and upcycling.
Rinka was recognized as the Top 15 women transforming India by the Govt of India in 2019 for the exemplary work done by her in Food and Nutrition.
Rinka has been associated with research and development for over 30 years across India and USA. She spent 16 years with Unilever, heading Research & Development for Foods in South Asia and was a business partner across it’s F&B business in the region. Prior to Unilever, she worked for 3 years in the US for brands like Haagen Dazs and Slim Fast.
Ms. Banerjee has a Masters in Food Science from the University of Vermont, USA where she created biodegradable packaging films from milk proteins and a Bachelor’s in Dairy Technology from the National Dairy Research Institute, in India.
